Monday Musings...

Had a great Thanksgiving with my family!! I am so blessed.

I've heard a mixture of good news and bad news over the weekend. My heart is heavy for the ones who are struggling. My heart is happy for those enjoying a good season of life. It really stretches me to "mourn with those who mourn, and rejoice with those who rejoice." I am constantly reminded that I have so far to go in becoming like Christ.

Great Sunday night at Central. We had a "Harvest of Talents" night at church. We have so many talented people in our congregation. It's amazing how God gifts people!!!

I've been thinking about this quote from Tim Keller and the implications it has - "You can’t teach what we teach—that you must be born again through belief in Jesus Christ—without saying most of the world is wrong.”

Seems like we go out of our way in the church NOT to offend people... While our life should not be offensive to the world, the message of Jesus is very offensive.

My grandfather (I just call him "pap") is having hip-replacement surgery today. I'm anxious to drive up there and see him this evening.

Hope you have a great Monday!!
